National road safety week

national road safety week 2021

This National Road Safety Week we're being reminded to drive to survive.

The initiative was started by Peter Frazer who's daughter was hit by a truck in a breakdown lane of the Hume Highway at Mittagong back in 2012.

Local tow truck driver Geoffrey Clark was also killed.

Mr Frazer wanted to make a difference and started looking at how he could change things including legislation.

He's also revealed for the first time a voicemail left on his phone by Sarah, moments before the horrific crash,

"Dad I'm really worried, the car has broken down and cars and trucks are passing me just centimetres away,

"I'm afraid I could get killed here,"Sarah said.
