A young child has been seriously injured in a two car crash at Wilton.
Just before 1pm yesterday, a Nissan Navara, was stopped in the southbound breakdown lane of the Hume Highway
Inside were a 47-year-old man with three passengers, a 30-year old woman along with a six year-old boy and 10 month old boy.
The vehicle was then allegedly hit from behind by a white Great Wall utility driven by a 26-year-old man.
Paramedics treated the older child at the scene before he was taken to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The woman and the younger child were treated for minor injuries and also taken to Westmead Hospital as a precaution.
The older man was not injured.
The driver of the Great Wall utility was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Hospital for mandatory testing.
The 26 year old suffered minor injuries.
He was later taken to Camden Police Station where he was released pending further inquiries.
