core logic august 2 2022

Southern Highlands dwellings saw their first decline in more than two years last month.

Figures from Core Logic show prices were down 2.5 per cent.

In the Shoalhaven prices they came off 3.4 per cent, which is the third consecutive month of decline.

But Head of Research Eliza Owen said the losses have to be put into perspective.

"Regional home values have seen extremely strong uplifts and in many cases bigger than what we've seen in the capital cities,

''This of course applies to very desirable regional lifestyle areas, like the Southern Highlands

"Over the pandemic prices have risen 55 per cent,"Ms. Owen said.
