The search for two fishermen missing in Brisbane's Moreton Bay will continue into a fifth day.
Hopes of finding Timothy Maher, 32, and Carwyn Massey, 25, alive are fading after an extensive land and sea search on Wednesday failed to find any items of significance.
Authorities had asked boaties to keep an eye out for the fishermen's belongings as activity increased on the bay for the Royal Queensland Show public holiday.
The search by water police and volunteers on Thursday will focus on the area around Green, Mud and St Helena Islands, off Brisbane airport, after the pair went missing on Saturday night.
Emergency crews had previously found various items belonging to the pair, including their partially-submerged dinghy, life jackets and fishing rods.
Their 3.3-metre blue aluminium dinghy was found several kilometres off Green Island late on Sunday.
The friends last contacted family about 10pm on Saturday to say they were heading home from their weekend fishing trip.
When they failed to arrive, about 20 vessels hit the water the following day to search for them.
