Shoalhaven News

This Is the End

The Owner of the Christine J boat which sank to the bottom of the Shoalhaven River earlier this year can expect a hefty bill after contractors were employed by the RMS to remove it.

A massive crane was brought in form Wollongong to lift the rotting vessel out of the water, which proved to be heavier than expected.

Chief Operations Officer Tim Johnson from Commercial Diving Services says it was a precision operation.

The vessel had to be removed after the owner failed to comply with directions to remove it themselves.
