Our local emergency services say they are absolutely baffled there were no serious injuries following a truck and car collision in the Shoalhaven yesterday morning.
Police say the tipper truck lost control of it’s brakes on Turpentine Road crashing into a Mercedes Benz convertible traveling south on the Princes Highway at Tomerong.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 52-year-old man was trapped for a short time, he was airlifted to St George Hospital in Sydney, while the 23-year-old male driver of the truck was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital.
The highway was closed during the morning and reopened for the afternoon, investigations are continuing.
