Volunteer firefighters from the New South Wales RFS worked yesterday afternoon to contain blazes at Sussex Inlet and Milton.

Blazes were reported after a smouldering log reignited at Ellmoos Road, Sussex Inlet, while a grass fire was also contained near Milton on Woodstock Road.

A watch and act remains in place for Clyde Ridge road and further south at Dunns Creek Road South of Batemans Bay, in both instances there’s no immediate threat to property.

A blaze that burnt out around 11 hectares at the Summercloud Bay Boat Ramp at Jervis Bay remains contained and under control.
