As part of the Statewide Operation Purge, a prison made weapon, opioid, syringe and other drugs have been seized from the South Coast Correctional Centre.
The operation which was conducted over an 11 week period has seen 11 mobile phones, more than 600 grams of tobacco and 44 prison made weapons seized.
Corrections Minister David Elliot says the South Coast Correctional Centre is now a much safer place, a total of 105 inmates from across the state now facing contraband charges.
At South Coast Correctional Centre, which is a minimum and maximum security facility for male offenders, the following contraband was seized:
1 x prison-made weapon
1 x syringe
3 x buprenorphine strips
29 x avanza tablets
