The Huskisson Woollamia Community Voice is calling on Shoalhaven City Council to do everything in its power to preserve the Holy Trinity Church building in Huskisson.
The future of the building has come under the spotlight after contracts exchanged for Steve Bartlett to purchase the building from the Anglican Church so he can undertake a $50 Million development.
It's understood settlement hasn't occurred but the Save Husky Church Community group understands this may be imminent.
The DA plans would include modern restaurants and cafes along with accommodation.
Community advocate Shirley Fitzgerald says heritage listing needs to take place for the grounds as they are, which would include the trees, graves and all other attributes of the block.
This was discussed at a recent meeting.
"That's what the majority of people at the meeting wanted to say when Steve Bartlett spoke, he talked a bit about his plans for the site and of course it involved pulling down most of the trees and that's what most people are concerned about", Ms Fitzgerald said.
