South Coast MP Shelley Hancock has announced the State Government will provide $60,000, so it can continue investigating potential improvements to the Jervis Bay Road and Princes Highway intersection.
The announcement comes as more than 300 people pack the St Georges Basin Country club at a community meeting, demanding a long solution to the black spot.
Secretary with Vincentia Matters Liz Tooley says while it's good to have the State Government on board, it's important the issue is dealt with sooner rather than later.
"There is a petition which is online and also was circulated at the meeting and we urge all people who are affected by the JB Road intersection to sign that petition", Ms Tooley said.
