A man has been arrested in connection with several alleged carjacking's and pursuits between Campbelltown and Nowra.

The first pursuit which was terminated, started at Airds in Sydney's South West.

45 minutes later a Toyota Corolla was stolen at knifepoint from a shopping centre on the Princes Highway at Figtree.

The 27 year old offender then travelled to Osbourne Street, Wollongong.

It was there he allegedly threatened a 55 year old woman with a knife who was helping another 90 year old woman out of a Nissan Pulsar.

The man stole the Pulsar and the elderly woman was taken to Wollongong Hospital for observation.

Just before 4pm, the 27 year old was arrested after a pursuit with a stolen Hyundai Kona on the Princes Highway at Nowra.

He was taken back to Nowra Police Station and is assisting Police with their inquiries.
