The threat of water restrictions in the Shoalhaven has been lifted.
The flow of the river is again at levels to allow Shoalhaven Water to access it for the region's water supply.
The river stopped becoming a source several weeks ago after it dropped too low and the Shoalhaven was looking at water restrictions being introduced.
However Shoalhaven Water Director CARMEL KROGH says after flows dropped to around 50-megalitres a day just days ago, they're now close to 900 megalitres a day and the pumps are active..."We can pump from the river when the flows are above 90-megalitres per day, so we anticipate with those sort of flows we'll be certainly able to pump for a number of weeks now, even without further rainfall."
