Fatal crash at Berry

A man has died after crashing his ute at Berry.

The incident took place around 5:15pm on Saturday along Gerroa Road, about one kilometre, south of Beach Road.

Police say the man's vehicle hit a tree while travelling south.

The 25 year old driver was unable to be revived and died at the scene.

Meanwhile his passenger was flown to St. George Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of a van, a 34 year old man, which was travelling in front before the crash, was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was set up and Officers from the South Coast Police District are continuing their inquiries.

A report will also be prepared for the coroner.
