Nowra High School was placed into lockdown today.
In a statement, the Department of Education says there was an incident involving three students.
Police were called around 1:20pm, but the Department says at no stage were any other students or staff in danger.
This from police: A post on the NSW Crime and Alert Shoalhaven/South Coast Facebook page says a female appeared on the grounds waving a large knife and was tasered and taken into custody.
The children meantime were in lockdown in the hall.
The issue was resolved and students resumed regular classes.
NSW Police won't be making any further comment on the matter.
