Emergency crews are working to restore power to nearly 3,700 homes and businesses across Endeavour Energy’s network affected by today’s strong winds.

The Bureau of Meteorology has re-issued severe weather warnings for damaging winds in parts of the Southern Highlands,  South Coast  and Blue Mountains, for today ahead of an approaching cold front expected to cross NSW between Friday and Saturday. The strong winds have brought down trees and branches over powerlines interrupting power supply in the following areas: Milton (426), Ulladulla (187), Little Forest (89), North Nowra (69) and Yatte Yattah (67)

As the strong winds are forecast to remain throughout today, Endeavour Energy recommends customers:

Keep at least 8 metres away from fallen power lines and report them by calling their emergency number 131 003.

Move vehicles under cover or away from trees.

Secure or put away loose items around their house, yard and balcony.
