Girls trapped in Vincentia crash

Two girls have ended up in hospital after a nasty crash at Vincentia yesterday afternoon.

Around 2 o'clock the 17-year-olds were in a car that crashed off  Naval College Road and went into a tree.

The passenger side of the vehicle was badly damaged trapping the girls, with multiple rescue crews on the scene to assist.

One of the teens has suffered serious head and pelvic injuries and was flown to Sydney's St George Hospital hospital, while the other girl was taken by ambulance to Wollongong hospital with minor injuries.

Inquiries into the crash are continuing.
