Possible 'supercell' forecast for East Coast

supercell.jpg

We're being warned severe thunderstorms could be heading our way.

A post by the State Emergency Service has a Weather Bureau map of the possible area that could be impacted by not only storms, but large hail, heavy rain and damaging winds as well.

It covers a large area from Coffs Harbour in the north to the Victorian border south of Eden.

Though it says wind is more likely about the south and west.

Supercell development is possible about the east during the afternoon, particularly on the eastern slopes of the ranges and near the troughline.

This is a forecast. If severe storms do develop, warnings will be issued here > http://www.bom.gov.au/nsw/warnings/
