A severe weather warning is in place for damaging surf across the Coast.
The conditions are being caused by a deep and slow-moving low pressure system which is centred over the central Tasman Sea.
Fortunately that East Coast low which was predicted to lash the Coast hasn't turned out as bad as originally forecast.
Nevertheless Deputy Zone Commander Tom Jory says they still had a number of jobs to attend to with between 10 to 15 callouts in the Sanctuary Point area.
Mostly of these were for for leaking roofs and trees threatening property.
Fortunately the worst of it is now behind us.
