Police have allegedly uncovered a homemade handgun during a vehicle search in Nowra.
Just before 8:30pm on Friday, Officers stopped a maroon-coloured Ford Falcon sedan on Jervis Street.
The gun was loaded with a .22 calibre round.
A 30 year old man allegedly resisted arrest.
The man and a 46 year old woman were taken to Nowra Police Station.
He was charged with possess loaded firearm in a public place, possess unregistered firearm in a public place, and resist officer in the execution of duty.
The woman was charged with possess loaded firearm in a public place, and possess unregistered firearm in a public place.
They both appeared in Wollongong Court yesterday.
