The call has gone out for more Shoalhaven residents and visitors to have a covid-19 test following unexpected low testing numbers over the weekend.
The Ulladulla Respiratory Clinic was open longer over the weekend, and a pop up clinic set up at the Milton Showground, after traces of the virus were reported at the Ulladulla sewerage plant on Friday.
Dr Jessie Hoang from the clinic said 90 people were tested in Ulladulla on Friday, however she added it's worrying that the anticipated weekend surge did not occur.
"We had expected a really busy day on Saturday given the news, but only 50 people came in for testing," she said.
"On Sunday only 16 people attended.
"I have informed NSW Health of these unexpected low numbers.
"As there are so many people staying in our area, we had expected to see large number of people coming forward for testing."
She is urging people to get tested if they have even mild cold symptoms to prevent the spread of the virus in the Shoalhaven.
