Police have allegedly uncovered drugs, a firearm and ammunition after executing a search warrant on a home at Kiama.
Just before 7:30pm last night, officers from the Lake Illawarra Target Action Group were carrying patrols of the Warrawong area, when they saw an Audi leaving a unit block on Jane Avenue.
They stopped the vehicle on Katrina Street with a search allegedly uncovering 18.8 grams of methylamphetamine and heroin along with $3680 cash.
The 34 year old driver was arrested and taken to Illawarra Police Station.
Just before 4am today, a search warrant was executed on a home in Glenbrook Drive Kiama.
During the search, officers found a firearm, ammunition, four cannabis plants, an electronic stun device, 17.4 grams of methylamphetamine, prescription medication and two mobile phones.
The man was charged with supply prohibited drug - indictable quantity, possess prohibited drug (x 4), deal with proceeds of crime, possess unauthorised firearm, not keep firearm safely, possess or use a prohibited weapon and possess prohibited plant.
He was refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court today.
