Massive turn out for Big Book Fair

Lifeline South Coast's Big Book Fair raised more than $171,000 for local community projects.

More than 6,100 people braved the rain and visited the Big Book Fair held at Berkeley over the weekend.

Every dollar raised from the country's biggest fundraiser of its kind, will stay in the Shoalhaven and Illawarra community to help people in crisis.

Lifeline South Coast is in need of more volunteers to help out in its Wollongong, Corrimal and Nowra stores.

As a Lifeline volunteer, you will help to assist in the running all aspects of a retail shop to directly fund our 24-hour crisis support line.

Just a few hours volunteering can and will save lives!

There are also behind-the-scenes volunteers who help with jobs like sorting, categorising, pricing and preparing donations for the shop floor.

All profits from our Lifeline Shops directly support us to operate our 24-hour 13 11 14 Lifeline Crisis Line, which answers over 25,000 calls every year across the South Coast.
