Marine Rescue Batemans Bay had to head off shore yesterday after a boat radioed for help south of Moruya.

The 5-6 metre vessel was found around 15-nautical miles out, on the shelf.

It's electrical system had failed but the two people on board managed to restart it and M R Batemans 30 escorted them back to shore.

Also south of Moruya yesterday four people became stranded when their 10-metre boat lost power and ran out of oil.

The skipper knew he wouldn't be able to tackle the Moruya River bar and M R Tuross gave them a hand.

Both incidents ended safely.
