We're being invited to be in the running for the state government's next million-dollar offshore reef.
Expressions of interest are now open and Shoalhaven fishing clubs, organisations and anyone who likes to wet a line are all invited to nominate.
New reefs in Batemans Bay and Jervis Bay will be completed in 2021 and 22 respectively, adding to others already in play in Wollongong, Shoalhaven and further south at Merimbula.
The artificial reefs provide a wide variety of marine growth and fish.. along with significant ecological and economic benefits.
To nominate locations for the next Offshore Artificial Reef, fishers should complete the survey before 17 June. The survey is available through the NSW Department Primary Industries (DPI) website and Survey Monkey.
