Three Shoalhaven cases under investigation

Health officials are investigating the origin of three new COVID-19 cases in the Shoalhaven, which were announced today.

The three cases, all from the 2541 postcode, were not linked to any existing cases.

They were among eight new cases in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District reported during the 24 hours to 8pm on Sunday.

That included one case in the Kiama Local Government area, one in Shellharbour and three in Wollongong.

There have now been 2,369 local cases of COVID-19 in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District since the start of the current outbreak in June.

At 8pm on Sunday there were 21 COVID-19 patients being treated in the district's hospitals.
