Nowra man charged after two businesses damaged

A man arrested in Nowra yesterday has been charged over two break-ins, as well as an outstanding arrest warrant.

About 12.10am on Wednesday a hammer was thrown through the window of a store along the Princes Highway in Nowra and a man was seen inside, however no property was taken.

An hour later, a man attended a service station on Kinghorne Street, Nowra, allegedly damaging the glass doors before leaving without gaining entry.

Police investigating the incidents arrested a 33-year-old man at a home in Abergeldie Street, Nowra, about 10.15am yesterday (Thursday, January 13).

He was taken to Nowra Police Station where he was charged with an outstanding warrant for two counts of resisting an officer in execution of duty, as well as two counts of break and enter with intent.

He was refused bail to appear in Nowra Local Court today.
