The International Women's Day awards give recognition to women for their work and  creativity throughout the community and will be presented by Amanda Findley at a morning tea.

Celebrate International Women’s Day by listening to writers of poetry and prose read their words and share their wisdom. Last year’s event was a hoot and you will enjoy this evening! Tea, coffee & light refreshments available. Gold coin donation.

The International Women's Day awards give recognition to women for their work and creativity throughout the Shoalhaven community in the following categories: Arts & Culture, Community Sporting Groups, Conservation of the Environment and Heritage, Multicultural Communities, Community & Social Services, Health & Wellbeing, Business and Economic Development, Contribution from a Young Woman aged 15-24, Contribution from a TAFE student. The awards are funded and presented by Sydney Living Museums through their regional House Museum, Meroogal. The ceremony is held under the century-old Jacaranda, in the beautiful front garden.

Join in the fun of a Trivia Night. The theme for the night is Movies and TV. Prizes will be given for best dressed movie or TV star and winning table. General knowledge, what's that song, who's that star, brain teasers and other movie and TV trivia. Tables of eight. Bookings essential. Sausage Sizzle available. ($2 Gold coin cost to go to DLC.) The Women’s Wellness Festival has been initiated by local women and community based organisations who are concerned about the high number of Shoalhaven women who experience a range of health conditions. This year the theme is Resilient Women: Embracing Life, Connecting Community. This event is also designed to raise the profile of the Shoalhaven and promote the fantastic services, education, training, and health professionals the area has to offer. This is a family friendly event with food, information stalls, performances, workshops and entertainment.

Venue: Tomerong Hall

Explore the beauty of a local  rushes and eco dyed raffia as you learn to make a coiled basket using covered core techniques. You will learn how to prepare the materials and different stitching methods with local artist Mary Preece.  Bring your own lunch. All materials are provided. Tea and coffee available.

An excellent opportunity for women to perform for the first time. Meals will be available to  purchase for $15 from 5.30 to 6.45pm. Supper provided. Performances start at 7pm. Book to perform and there will be a dance band to finish.
