Melbourne radio personality Kate Langbroek has suffered bruising in a violent attack at her St Kilda home.
"It really was fight or flight. I couldn't flee, so I guess I had to be prepared to fight ... I don't even know what that means. What is going on in our houses and our towns and our cities? What the hell is going on?" the Nine Network reports Langbroek saying from her studio.
"Following a crazed, violent, terrifying attack on our family home on Friday night, I would like to speak with @MartinFoleyMP about his plans to stop the degradation of St Kilda hill. Thank you," Langbroek tweeted in the days following the attack."
On Wedesday she tweeted, "@MartinFoleyMP Thanks for your call yesterday. This is the bruise I sustained trying to keep that "vulnerable" resident from kicking our front door in on Friday night. Children inside. The real vulnerable are the decent citizens of St Kilda. We await your action."
Foley said in a statement on Wednesday what had happened was "unacceptable" and an arrest had been made.
