International pop superstar Billie Eilish is set to perform at this years ARIA Awards with an exclusive performance of her new single 'Therefore I Am.'
The 2020 ARIA Awards will hold their ceremony at the Star Event Centre in Sydney and be broadcast on the Nine Network on Wednesday the 25th of November with Delta Goodrem as the host.
ARIA Chief Executive, Dan Rosen said:
“We are thrilled to welcome global superstar Billie Eilish to this year's ARIA Awards. Australian music fans have taken her into our hearts, and last year Billie had the highest selling album in Australia with her massive hit When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? She is truly one of the biggest artists in the world right now, and we can't wait to see her perform her new song for all her Australian fans on the ARIA stage.”
The 18-year-old singer-songwriter will perform her new single ‘Therefore I Am’ remotely from her hometown of L.A. Australia’s biggest pop export Sia will also be performing remotely from L.A and local acts that will perform on the night include Lime Cordiale, Tame Impala, Tampa The Great, and Amy Shark.
Since beginning her career at just 14-years-old with her first single ‘ocean eyes’ in 2016, Eilish has dominated the charts here in Australia and around the world. In 2019, she won the four main Grammy categories, making her the first female, the second person ever, and the youngest ever person to do so.
Her first studio album 'When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ reached number one on the Australian charts (2x Platinum), was the biggest American debut album of the decade, and became the highest-selling album in Australia in 2019. Her single ‘Bad Guy’ also reached number one on the Australian charts and has since had over a billion views on Youtube.
