Wingecarribee Shire Council has updated what is happening with the deterioration of Old South Road between Merrigang Street to Range Road.
Council said it is working closely with its design consultant, geotechnical engineers and Stefanutti Constructions to investigate the cause of the pavement failure and to commence with the appropriate remediations as soon as practicably possible.
Stage 3 works are progressing on track for the reconstruction of 1.3km of Old South Road north of Aylmerton Road in Mittagong.

Two significant culverts have been reconstructed and road works are well progressed with widening, shoulder construction and sub-soil drainage.
This stage is scheduled to be completed by late May, weather permitting.
