A lucky escape for a driver and passenger

A car that burst into flames caused a major traffic snarl at the Kiama bends on Thursday 21 April afternoon.

It happened just before three o’clock but fortunately both occupants were able to get out before flames engulfed the vehicle.

Gerringong Rural Fire Service volunteers and NSW Fire and Rescue Kiama Kiama were called to extinguish the blaze.
