The Kiama Leisure Centre has experienced a surge in demand for swimming lessons, reflecting the growing number of young families in the area.
Unfortunately, this demand is felt in many areas across NSW.
Such is the demand, some families are experiencing a waiting period before their children can join a swimming class.

Kiama Leisure Centre has introduced a range of improvements to help the increasing number of parents enrolling their kids in swimming lessons.
More than 1350 children are already enrolled for 2024.
Council is working with organisations such as Royal Life Saving NSW, AUSTSWIM and Swim Australia to recruit instructors, as well as inspire more people to consider becoming a swim teacher.
