More surveyors needed on South Coast

The construction industry on the South Coast, needs more surveyors.

For the first time, the Tafe NSW Yallah campus is now offering a mid-year intake to help cater to the growing demand.

Teacher Jane Hayward said they have a number of students who travel up from the Shoalhaven to study including Brent Nowland from Cambewarra.

“So Brent undertook some studies at school, which led him towards looking at a career in surveying,

“He was successful in getting some local work in the Shoalhaven region, while studying at the same time,”Ms. Hayward said.
