Shoalhaven Independents to re-introduce Australia Day Awards and Ceremonies

The Shoalhaven Independents have pledged to re-introduce Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremonies on the 26th of January, each year if independents gain control of Council in the Council elections, in September 2024.

The Shoalhaven Independents said they are committed to celebrations that aim to reflect the diverse society and landscape of the Shoalhaven.

Mayoral Candidate for the Shoalhaven Independents Clr. Patricia White said, “Community and family events, reflections on the history of the Shoalhaven, official community awards and citizenship ceremonies’ welcoming new members of the Australian community will mark these celebrations.”
