Responsible Gambling Officers are to be introduced into pubs and clubs across NSW.
From July 1st 2024 venues with more than 20 gaming machine entitlements will be required to have a Responsible Gambling Officer on duty while poker machines are in operation.
It is a NSW Government initiative to reduce gambling harm.

Liquor and Gaming NSW figures show that in December 2022, there were more than 1,390 poker machines in the Shoalhaven, that number is around 500 for the Wingecarribee.
