School student airlifted after being struck by a car

About 3pm on Wednesday 5 August 2026, emergency services were called to St Vincent Street, Ulladulla, after reports a pedestrian had been hit.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended and found that a 12-year-old boy had been by a Toyota SUV while riding a scooter across a pedestrian crossing.

The boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for leg and hip injuries before being airlifted to Sydney Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.

The driver, a 46-year-old man, was uninjured and returned a negative breath test at the scene.

Police have commenced an investigation.
