Did you know the Wingecarribee community generates more than 30,000 tonnes of waste materials each year?

As the Shire grows, Wingecarribee Shire Council is continuing to improve waste collection services to support efficient collection routes and reliable, consistent services.

From the week of Monday 2 November 2026, around 1,600 households in Bowral and Burradoo (approximately 7% of households receiving domestic waste collection services across the Shire) will have changes to their bin collection schedule.

Affected households have been directly contacted by Council with information about the change for their property and what they need to do.

Council said, “Even if your collection schedule isn’t changing, it’s worth knowing when bins need to goout. Whether you’re the person who reminds the neighbours to put their bins out, or you’re helping while someone is away, Council’s online BinDay tool makes it easy to check. Simply enter your address to find out.”

  • your next bin collection date;
  • which bins to put out; and
  • whether your property is on a Week A or Week B collection schedule, so you can
