Two people had a lucky escape after fire destroyed their caravan and another caravan next door at Cudmirrah early Saturday (16 March 2023) morning.
The blaze was reported at about 4am at the Lakeside Caravan Park.
Flames quickly spread to two annexes which were both badly damaged as well.

RFS Fire Crews managed to stop the flames spreading to other nearby caravans , although several sustained heat damage.
The situation, made even more dangerous by gas cylinders located just metres away.
Police and RFS investigators are looking into the cause – but the blaze isn’t being treated as suspicious.
