Remembrance Day display at Moss Vale

This Remembrance Day, the Atrium of Wingecarribee Council’s Civic Centre will honour those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Poppies will be sold in the Atrium Thursday 9 November and Friday 10 November, where the ‘Moss Vale Remembers’ exhibition will be showcased until 1 December.

Commemorated annually on November 11th, Remembrance Day serves as a solemn tribute to the brave men and women who have given their lives in the line of duty to protect our nation.

A selection of moving images and memorabilia honouring the service and sacrifice of local men and women who’ve served our country around the world.

The display includes a small but impressive collection of World War I and World War II memorabilia on loan from the Sub-Branch museum at Moss Vale Ex-Services Club, including post WWII uniforms on mannequins.

Council’s planned activities are among the many services and tributes happening across our Shire as
Australia prepares to pay respects on Remembrance Day, Saturday November 11, to the fallen service personnel from our communities whose sacrifices will never be forgotten.
